tractors and soil compaction

mainly we use the tractors to improve soil texture by distrubting the soil under suatable moiture content to make the balance between the soil and air and water and broke the hard banes to allow the roots to grow in the soil which will lead to increase the crop production . but when the tractor path on the soil . does it copact the soil ? my answer is . the matter depend on the pressure on the soil . so the soil compaction not depend on the size and the weigh of the tractor mainly . but if you have 5 ton tractor with contact area ( between wheeels and the soils ) 50 cm2 the soil compaction will be more than 10 ton tractor with contact area 200 cm2 . so you can reduce the soil compaction if you but additional wheels or decrease the pressure in the tires
